MVR stands for Motor Vehicle Record. This is a report of your driving history as disclosed by the Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles.
What is included in the MVR?
Your MVR can include things like your driver license status and class, violations, convictions, restrictions, and other pertinent details related to your driving record.
Can anyone access my MVR?
The manner in which the AZMVD releases a MVR is regulated by the Federal Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (or DPPA), 18 USC 2721-2725 as adopted in Arizona law, Title 28, Chapter 2, Article 5. A person, business or entity requesting a MVR will have their eligibility determined by this act.
What tickets do I have on my driving record?
Purchase a Motor Vehicle Record online or contact us for this information. Be prepared to provide your full name, date of birth and driver-license number.
What traffic convictions will show if an insurance company runs my MVR?
Any convictions received and showing on your driving record within the past 39 months will be provided to an insurance company.
How long does a conviction stay on my record?
A conviction stays on your record for five years from the date of conviction.
